Idris Elba returns to Sky Arts to tell the story of his tumultuous childhood in King For A Term.

Elba himself has written and directed this intimate one-off piece, taken directly from his school days in Hackney and tells the story of an asthmatic boy who is suddenly and unexpectedly moved to a school with kids that have learning difficulties.

Funny, playful, personal and yet wholly accessible to anyone who has ever felt like a bit of an outsider, King For A Term stars a new cast of up-and-coming acting talent and forms part of a major new strand of original plays coming up on Sky Arts this year.

Agreeing to his demands, James arrives at the man’s house and sets out to incapacitate his victim. But before he passes the point of no return, he discovers that things aren’t quite as they seem. Instead of the mark, he is confronted with the last person (Fry) he expects to see.
